Key Persons

Elliott C. Small, Jr., Founder, first became involved with electric automobile technology in 1978. Mr. Small has worked as a computer consultant and programmer for banks, accounting firms, associations, retail establishments, political organizations and other types of organizations in the USA and Africa. He has also worked as a research Chemist at General Foods Corporation where he originated a new gelling process utilizing enzymatic activity. As Director, Technology Commercialization Center, Washington, D.C., a U.S. Commerce Department funded program to assist businesses with new technology products, Mr. Small assisted an electric car company in its progression from experimental prototypes to completion of an advanced production prototype. He has a bachelor's degree from the College at Harvard University with a major in Biochemical Sciences. He has also completed a graduate level course at Harvard in computer programming.

 

Russell Robertson and Jeanne Pfordresher are co-founders of Hybrid Product Design, industrrial designers of vehicles and other industrial products. They both hold BFA degrees in Industrial Design from the Cleveland Institute of Art and Design. Both have been Professors of Industrial Design at Parson’s School of Design and Pratt Institute in New York and therefore have access to a large and talented pool of designers and engineers. Russell was chair of the largest NY chapter of the Industrial Designers Society of America from 2000 – 2002. Hybrid is a pluralistic design culture. Hybridism pulls from the best ideas to create a holistic solution.
